The Neighborhood (stylized as THE NBHD) is an American indie music group formed in August 2011. The band consists of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, drummer Brandon Fried and bassist Mikey Margott.

· CAMERA:

What made this music video stand out from other indie music videos was the way nothing was filmed for the video itself. Every clip seen in it is a compilation of videos that Jesse and Devon have filmed over the years that they have been together. Many of them have been filmed with an iPhone. The way it is "home made" makes it even more intimate as they are letting their fans enter their lives for three minutes. They use medium shots as they are filming their faces all the time, expressing their love for one another. It is very common for love music videos to use this type of framing in order to concentrate on what is important, their relationship and facial expressions. The position of the frames vary from horizontal to vertical, showing how they are clips from different moments of their lives.

· EDITING:

The editing is off beat and prioritises the clips showing the couple. The main theme of this music video is showing all the small adventures that they have been on together, therefore the editing is not the main focus. The transitions are very simple as they all cut to the next clip and do not use fade aways. There are several long clips such as when Jesse is shown surfing the crowd towards Devon. These clips are not edited and shows how it has been filmed from a fan's point of view. This type of editing is very raw and shows how real their relationship is.

· MISE-EN-SCENE:

This focuses on making the video look as realistic as possible in order for the audience to relate to it. The video is filmed in various places where they have both been, showing an obvious connection between them. Th fact that there are both intimate and public places portrays how their love is the same both in private and outside. The lighting usually uses a soft glow light bulb or natural sunlight which is positioned most of the time behind the characters in order to make them stand out from the rest as they are the main characters. The change of lights to shadows sets the mood which normally suits the theme and the rhythm of the song. The clothing and makeup are related to the era of the narrative. It mainly focuses on the representation of the character's identity, this time by the use of clothing that is used. They wear very striking colours and patterns such as different coloured beanies, jackets full of clips or orange hair. All of this represent their type of relationship which is based on trust and transparency, evoking freedom and wildness.
